Our goal

One Vote N.C. is a student news collaborative made up of seven college newspapers in North Carolina. Together, our goal is to help college students across the state navigate the November election. This year is shaping up to be a monumental election year, and student voter turnout has historically been low. We hope this collaborative serves as a resource that will empower students to vote.

What we do

Our collaborative will share and work together in our election coverage so that students who are voting in a county besides the one their school is located in will still have the resources they need to vote. Together, we will be:

  1. Publishing a statewide voter guide of general assembly candidates
  2. Republishing election stories from each newsroom
  3. Hosting a virtual town hall with a statewide candidate
